Seattle Sunday

Around the Space Needle

We couldn’t of picked a better spot for the hotel. A short walk and we are on the Worlds Fair Grounds and at the base of the Space Needle. But before we headed out there we woke up with some coffee and tasty food at the Meca Diner. Quirky things on the wall and a decent menu of general fair options.

What a view, nice rooftoop viewing from the hotel!
Buffalo Boots (Spice Girl style) looking good on this Stegosaurus, which is also my favorite dinosaur too!!!

After we ate we asked the few blocks through the fair grounds and arrived at the EMP Museum. Frank Ghery style architecture. With some amazing colors to the multi meterials exterior, you are in for an amazing experience. Once you go inside you feel as though you have been swallowed by a metal whale. The interior is stunning, massively cavernous and the exhibits are not to be missed.

Apparently I am a 15 apple tall Greek compared to Hello Kitty.

The EMP Museum is not to be missed, they rotate out their experiences but it was so amazing and musically inspiring too with installations of Funk to Punk to name some.

Afterwards I finally got to catch up with a friend I hadn’t seen in years Bob Foster. We all strolled around town and I know that I will soon be returning to Seattle to explore it again!
