Monastiraki, Plaka and Museums

Today was a beautiful day. The heat doesn’t matter, as you walk around and get some waters or cool Nescafé Frappé or a Fredo Espresso and you have a caffeine buzz and cool drink to help with all the walking.

Monastiraki and Plaka have the best trinkets and deals for anything Greek you need from the touristy to even fine art and snacks to your hearts content. Near the Parthenon and other monuments you get a beautiful mix of small side streets and breathtaking angles of them all.

We then headed to the National Archaeological Museum. It was so massive that we spent over 3 hours and still needed more time as we couldnt see everything. A must see if you find yourself in Athens.

We ended the evening with a dinner all together at Edem (Cafe-Restaurant) www.edemrestaurant.gr a wonderful location by the water and with a short cab ride from the center of Athens. We ate and laughed and watched the crescent moon set over the water while enjoying each other’s company sharing stories.
