Chania, Crete

This was my last stop in Crete and with 3 nights my family and I all enjoyed walking all over, cool beaches, and what the town had to offer with a wonderful short walk from the hotel along the coast to the old town.

Really swanky Irida Hotel in Chania. Had a nice continental breakfast and a short walk brings you into old town o a short taxi from the beaches.
  

Can’t beat the beaches. I loved the grass topped umbrellas and they even had menus underneath with every kind of drink and snack. Daily I have eaten Horiatiki Salads, it’s a staple Greek salad and is very refreshing on hot days.

Mom checks out today’s catch, mmmm fresh grilled octopus !!!

Walking around the shops you come across some interesting things and this one had a cool cat, you can call him Sir!

GORGONA Hotel

Another beach with awesome food and great amenities for family fun or just relaxing by the surf.

The last thing I did in Crete was a first for me also. An outdoor theatre, we saw the Woody Allen film Irrational Man, it was so neat to see it under the stars.
